Two numbers for one KPI
Sales says revenue is one figure, finance says another, and the meeting turns into an argument about whose spreadsheet is right.
My Power BI consulting services cover the whole job for B2B teams in the US and Europe: the data model, the DAX, the report design and the handover. I'm Microsoft certified (PL-300), I have 5+ years as a Power BI data and business analyst, and clients rate my Power BI work 4.9 from 80+ reviews. You deal with one person and get a fixed quote before anything starts.
A concept CFO dashboard for a fictional company, built on sample data.
Sales says revenue is one figure, finance says another, and the meeting turns into an argument about whose spreadsheet is right.
We have the licences and maybe one report someone built years ago, and we still do the monthly numbers in Excel.
Our one data person is buried, and the consultancy we asked quoted a six-week kickoff for what feels like a two-week job.
A starting point, never a fixed package: describe how you want it and I build it to match.
Slow or untrusted Power BI reports usually share one cause, and it sits underneath the visuals. Tables imported straight from exports, relationships that filter in both directions, a calculated column for every new question. It works for the first page and then falls apart. I start with a star schema (facts in the middle, dimensions around them), write measures instead of calculated columns, and only then design the pages. That order is why the reports stay fast as your data grows.
Design matters too, in a narrow way. A dashboard that actually gets opened has few visuals, an obvious place to start reading, and the comparison people really make, such as this month against budget and last year. Everything else belongs on a detail page. For a finance team that's usually revenue, gross margin and cash against plan; for operations it might be late orders and stock cover. If you already have an Excel version people like, I often copy its structure, because readers trust what they recognise.
Buyers looking for a Power BI development company or an implementation partner usually want two things: someone who builds what was asked, and someone who helps decide what is worth building. A small team without a BI department needs both in one person, and that's how I work. As a Microsoft Power BI consultant with 5+ years as a Power BI data and business analyst, I know the conversation where a manager asks for 'a dashboard' and the real question turns out to be about margin or cash.
I'm one Power BI expert, not a firm with a team, so you talk to the person writing the DAX and there's no account manager in between. The trade-off is capacity, since there's one of me. You'll know the delivery date before you commit, and if your project needs several people working at once, I'll say so.
Tell me what decisions the report should support and where the data lives. Rough notes are fine, and so is an old report you want replaced.
I come back with a scope, a price and a date. No hourly meter.
I work in your tenant or on a copy of your data. You review a first version early and we adjust it together, across time zones without needing meetings.
The report goes live in your workspace with refresh switched on, and you get the file and documentation.
€300 covers one focused report on reasonably clean data; more sources, data cleaning, complex DAX and row-level security are what move the price.
Verified reviews from real projects, 4.9 on average from 80+ reviews.
“Since I don't have a technical background, getting set up was initially challenging, but Flippie guided me through it with patience and clarity. Highly recommended!”
“I've become a regular customer by now, and the communication is always excellent with outstanding results. He thinks along proactively and asks the right critical questions.”
“Flippie delivered a clear and well-structured Power BI dashboard, translating our requirements quickly into a user-friendly solution. Communication was smooth and the collaboration very efficient.”
Anything else? Ask me directly, I reply within a few hours on working days.
My Power BI consulting services start at €300 for one focused report on reasonably clean data, quoted as a fixed price rather than by the hour. Most business dashboards end up higher once several data sources, cleanup work or complex measures are involved. You get the full price and a delivery date in writing before I start, so there's no meter running while we talk through changes.
Yes, if what you need is one certified person who takes a Power BI implementation from data model to published app. I set up the model, the measures, the refresh, the workspaces and the security, and I hand over documentation your team can maintain. I'm one consultant, not a firm with a team, so very large rollouts across many departments at once are a better fit for a bigger provider.
A freelancer is usually faster and cheaper for a small or mid-sized company, because there's no account manager and no long kickoff. You explain the problem to the person who builds the model. A larger firm makes more sense when you need a team, an SLA and a procurement process. I'm Microsoft certified (PL-300) and my Power BI work is rated 4.9 from 80+ reviews, which answers the trust question most buyers have.
Usually yes, if you want to share reports inside your company. Each person who publishes or views shared content needs a Pro or Premium Per User licence, unless your reports sit on a large enough Fabric or Premium capacity. Building the report only needs the free Power BI Desktop. Licensing is where costs often surprise people, so I check your setup before quoting and tell you what you need.
Yes, and the packages are only a starting point. Tell me in your own words what you want to see, which KPIs matter and how they're defined in your business, and I'll match it as closely as the data allows. You can send a sketch, an Excel version or a competitor's report you like. If a request isn't possible in Power BI, I'll say so early and offer the closest alternative.
Yes. Many projects start from an existing report that is slow, inconsistent or built by someone who has since left. I can extend it, rebuild the parts that cause trouble, or start a cleaner model and move your pages across. If you're not sure what's wrong, my AI readiness assessment is the cheaper first step: it reviews the model and tells you what to fix and in what order.
I work from the Netherlands, so GDPR applies to how I handle your data, and an NDA and a data processing agreement are available on request. Where possible I work inside your own Microsoft tenant as a guest user rather than on copies of your data, and you can remove my access the day the project ends.
Yes, a large share of my clients are in the US and Canada, alongside clients across Europe. Work runs async: you send a brief or feedback at the end of your day and there's usually progress waiting by your morning. Everything is in English, prices are in euros, and invoices come from my registered Dutch company. Calls are possible when they help, but most projects don't need many.
An AI readiness assessment from me checks whether your data and BI layer is ready for Copilot, data agents and other AI tools that read it: the Power BI semantic model, the DAX, naming, definitions, data quality and security.
