Bank statement to Excel, without uploading your statement
This bank statement to Excel converter turns a PDF bank statement into a clean spreadsheet with a date, description, amount and balance for every transaction. Your statement is read inside your browser and is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. Check the result, fix anything that looks off, and download it as Excel or CSV.
Click any cell to edit it. Money going out is negative. Dates are shown as year-month-day.

No transactions were recognised in this PDF. The layout may be unusual, or it may be a scan. Try setting the date order by hand above, or send me a note about your bank and I will look at supporting it.
Why this converter does not upload your statement
A bank statement shows who you pay, who pays you, your balance and often your account number and address. Most online converters ask you to upload it to their server. This one does not. The page loads a copy of Mozilla's open-source PDF reader, pdf.js, from this site, and your browser does all the work: reading the text, finding the transactions and building the Excel file. You can check this yourself: open your browser's network panel while converting and you will see no request carrying your file.
Close the tab and everything is gone. There is no account, no history and no copy on a server.
How it finds the transactions
The converter reads the text layer of the PDF, rebuilds it line by line, and keeps the lines that start with a date and contain an amount. It understands the common date formats (31/12/2026, 12/31/2026, 2026-12-31, 31 Dec 2026) and both number styles (1,234.56 and 1.234,56). When the statement has separate columns for money in and money out, it uses the column headers to give each amount the right sign. A description that wraps onto a second line is joined back together, and the last amount on a line is treated as the running balance.
Every bank lays out its statement differently, so treat the result as a first draft: check the totals against your statement and edit any cell before you download.
What it cannot do
It cannot read scanned statements, which are pictures of text rather than text; those need OCR. It does not categorise transactions or connect to your bank. If you need statements from several accounts turned into one clean, categorised table every month, that is the kind of documents-to-data work I build for clients, with a review step and checks; see invoice processing automation.

How do I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Choose or drop your PDF bank statement on this page. The converter reads it in your browser, lists every transaction with its date, description, amount and balance, and lets you edit the table. Then download it as an Excel .xlsx file or a CSV that any spreadsheet can open.
Is it safe to convert my bank statement here?
Your statement is never uploaded. The PDF is read by code running inside your own browser tab, and the Excel file is created there too. Nothing is sent to a server, stored or tracked, and closing the tab removes everything. You can confirm this in your browser's network panel while converting.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank whose statement is a text-based PDF with one transaction per line, a date at the start and the amount on the same line. That covers most statements from US, UK and European banks. Unusual layouts may need a few manual fixes in the table, and scanned statements cannot be read at all.
Why does the converter not read my statement?
The most common reason is a scanned statement: a picture of a page has no text for the converter to read. Password-protected PDFs also need the password removed first. If your PDF has text but no transactions are found, try setting the date order by hand.
Can I convert a bank statement to CSV instead of Excel?
Yes. After checking the table, choose Download CSV. The file uses a comma separator, UTF-8 encoding and one row per transaction with the date in year-month-day format, so it imports cleanly into Excel, Google Sheets and most accounting software.
